Brenda King is a co-founder and managing partner of King Sports. With more than 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur Ms. King brings commitment, determination and a can-do attitude to the King Sports team.

Early in her career, Ms. King worked in the investment banking industry both in Colorado at JW Gant & Associates and in New York City, at Rooney Pace. Ms. King worked along side her partner and husband at The Cadmus Group, a private equity firm in New York City. At the Cadmus Group Ms. King and her partner completed the company’s first acquisition, Bowen Smith Tower Company.

Returning to Colorado in 1990 Ms. King worked in the family owned business, Industrial Services Technologies, a turn around service company to oil refineries. While raising their two children, born in 1996 and 2002, Ms. King was an integral part of her husband’s company KRG Capital, a middle market private equity firm. From 1996 through 2013, Ms. King hosted strategic planning sessions, dinner meetings of potential aquistions, summer annual picnics and assisted in the planning of KRG’s annual investor meetings hosted every year in Vail Colorado. Ms. King brought intrinsic value to the family culture of KRG Capital. In 2008, Ms. King along with other co-founding families completed the construction of Evergreen Country Day School. ECDS is a 35,000-square foot facility providing exceptional educational services to the Evergreen Community. Ensuring the project would be completed, Ms. King secured a $13mm bond from George K. Baum & Co. for the construction of the facility. As a Trustee of Evergreen Country Day School, Ms. King co-wrote the mission statement, was on the finance committee and was a visionary for the design and development of the project. Currently, Ms. King stewards her family holdings and oversees the investments of their private portfolio.
